Team Fun Center Suzuki Wrap up West Coast Season

The final West Coast Lites race is in the books. It took place in Seattle where it was surprisingly nice weather. A last minute decision was made for Michael to sit out the event. He had his tonsils removed three weeks ago and has had a hard time recovering. “I have lost about twenty pounds and this weekend was the first time I have eaten solid foods. I have also had a problem with some fluid in my ear; however I am planning on racing in Las Vegas.”

Chris got a great start in heat one where he finished a solid sixth to transfer to the main. Brady was in the same heat as his teammate and got a mid-pack start on his RMZ 250. He worked his way up to qualifying position with two laps to go when he was taken out after the finish line jump by another rider.

In the LCQ Brady came around the first turn in last and worked up to 10th at the finish. He ended the season in 36th place. “It was hard coming into this season with only a few weeks of preparation due to my broken wrist but I have made improvements throughout the series and that was my goal going in. I was very happy with the team and my bikes and I hope to be back next year.” said Sheren.

In the main Chris had to line up to the right of the box. He got a great start on his Bill’s Pipes modified RMZ 250 and around the first turn looked like he might have the holeshot but was pinched off and end up in seventh. He made a few mistakes and ended up finishing 11th. The finish tied him for 12th overall for the West Coast Lites Series and with the ruling on finishes he ended up 13th for the year. “My goal going into this season was to be top ten in the points. I fell short of that however I learned a lot and now I know what I need to do to be more prepared next year.” said Blose.

Fun Center Suzuki’s final event of the year will take place this weekend in Las Vegas for the East/West Lites Shootout.
